What Does Islam Bring to America?

A few years ago, a study conducted in Boston, MA, examined the assets and net worth of different demographics. The median net worth for Black individuals was $8 - yes, that’s not a typo - it’s eight dollars, compared to Whites, who had a median worth of $247,000. While 80% of White individuals own a home, only 30% of Black individuals own a home.

There was a legal tool to perpetuate the racial segregation in housing that’s called “Restrictive Covenant”. Using that legal tool the sell agreement was constructed to limit the use or ownership of property for decades until the Supreme Court struck down that in 1948 and then the FHA in 1968 explicitly prohibit such discrimination in housing.

Below is an excerpt from the list of restrictions in the homeowner’s association bylaws for Blue Ridge in northwest Seattle, “No person other than one of the White or Caucasian race shall be permitted to occupy any property in said Addition or portion thereof or building thereon except a domestic servant actually employed by a person of the White or Caucasian race where the latter is an occupant of such property.”

Incarceration, police harassment, and brutality, disproportionately harm the Black demographic. Blacks make up only 13% of the total US population, yet they constitute 38% of incarcerated population.

If this isn’t a structural problem, them I’m sorry, but I have no way to wake you up…
